OpenAI has updated its popular AI chatbot, allowing you to access ChatGPT Voice right inside your chat.

Farewell to the Separate Screen

You no longer switch to a separate mode with an animated blue circle to talk to the AI.

Talk and See the Text

Before, you could only listen to the responses. Now, you can talk and watch your answers appear as ChatGPT speaks.

Multimodal Chat in One Place

You can now converse with the chatbot and view its responses, including shared visuals like images or maps, as you talk.

Natural Flow Between Speech and Text

The change makes it more natural to interact, letting you more easily move between speaking and typing in the same conversation.

You can still revert! Find the option to turn on "Separate mode" under "Voice Mode" in the app's "Settings".
